Chiefly correspondence of the officers concerning activities of the Columbia Art Association. Also containing programs of various exhibitions, including program of twenty-fifth anniversary "Art Jubilee," 8-13 Apr. 1940, with a list of officers, directors, and members. Volumes include treasurer's records, minutes, membership rolls, reports of officers, and address of David Edward Finley at the opening of the Columbia Museum of Art, 22 Mar. 1950. Also includes scrapbook, 3 June 1921 - 11 Oct. 1950 [microfilm R.535], consisting of newspaper clippings re activities of the organization, including features re the history and gardens of the Hampton Preston mansion and the unsuccessful campaign, 1940-1943, to purchase the site as home for the Columbia Museum of Art; and eventual purchase of the Thomas Taylor home for the museum and its formal opening, in Mar. 1950.
